Crystal Lagoons Honored With a Green Apple Award For the Second Year in a Row

England and the United States, two of the world’s most developed countries, have recently highlighted the technology of Crystal Lagoons for its sustainability and low water consumption through important green awards.

The truly outstanding news is that the British Green Apple Awards competition, one of the world’s most important environmental awards, recognized the multinational company for the second year in a row for the sustainable impact of its cooling technology for industrial processes, a prize which was awarded in June 2017 at the House of Commons, home to the Houses of Parliament in London.

This award is sponsored by highly respected British environmental organizations such as the Environmental Agency of England, the British Society of Ecological Construction, and the British Environment, Health and Patrimonial Conservation. The prize highlights the contribution this technology makes to the planet, which avoids impact on natural ecosystems caused by industrial cooling systems. This factor was considered to stand out among over five hundred nominations.

Furthermore, in the United States, the multinational company was also recognized with the Green Award, presented by the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce, which acknowledges entities and technologies that promote environmental breakthroughs. “The American market is especially sensitive to the protection of the water resource, and the reduction in water consumption provided by Crystal Lagoons’ technology comparatively with other amenities and green areas determined the award”.

The Miami guild highlighted the consumption of 30 times less water than a golf course and just half the water required by a park of the same size. Apart from that, another factor that came into play was the capacity of the lagoons to capture rainwater to compensate for natural evaporation.

Crystal Lagoons has been awarded internationally, and highlights among its most recent awards the Green Apple Award 2016; the Stevie® Award for Innovator of the Year; the acknowledgement of the London Business School as one of the more remarkable innovations worldwide; The Best New Business in the US; The Keys of Miami; Innovation Award; National Environmental Award; Best Real Estate Reputation Award and two Guinness World Records for its lagoons in Egypt and Chile, among others.

Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size crystal clear lagoons at very low costs.
