Crystal Lagoons arrives in Korea with a contract for first Public Access Lagoon in Asia
Crystal Lagoons arrived in the Korean market by partnering with Lagoon Korean Partners (LKP), a leading real estate firm specializing in project planning and design, development, management and brokerage of commercial buildings. These include large-scale themed entertainment and retail complexes, residential and mixed-use developments as well as specializing in real estate investment and asset management on a global basis.
Crystal Lagoons, regarded as the ‘World’s Top Amenity’, is continuing to expand the scope of its man-made crystalline lagoon business in Asia through the strength of its first official contract in South Korea. This is a very important milestone being the first of several projects planned within the Seoul Metropolitan area.
LKP plans to initially develop a minimum of four Public Access Lagoons (PAL), within the Korean capital region using Crystal Lagoons’ unique sustainable technology.
PALs by Crystal Lagoons is a new concept that transforms each venue into a recreational and family destination: the new meeting point of the 21st century. With this new concept, everyone would be able to enjoy beach life, even just a few blocks away from home.
These unique crystal clear man-made lagoons will bring a resort-like experience into Korean cities, radically improving the quality of life for all citizens while increasing visitor arrivals. It in turn will generate revenue, create jobs and build prosperity around the lagoon, with the activation of the surroundings, including bars, restaurants and local venders. All together, these transform new projects into vibrant locations, making the local into popular domestic and international destinations.
Crystal Lagoons’ Regional Director for Southeast Asia Mr. Jaime Rivera said, “Whenever we think about going on vacation or taking a relaxing break, the idea of white sandy beaches and crystal clear turquoise waters immediately springs to mind. A tropical paradise, the idea of being able to relax on the beach, indulge in water sports, or just lay back and enjoy the views are all part of an idyllic concept that everyone is looking for.”
“Furthermore, an idyllic beach life is possible all year round, with our unique total or partial domes that cover the crystal clear lagoons to enable people to enjoy unlimited activities, no matter what the weather,” Mr. Rivera, added.
The response to this new concept of crystalline lagoons open to the public has been widely positive and Crystal Lagoons is currently developing Public Access Lagoon projects in many countries including the United States, Spain, Turkey, Argentina, and Chile.
Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size crystalline lagoons at very low costs.
