Crystal Lagoons is a great contribution for Amazing Thailand Tourism Year 2018

Thai media reported that Crystal Lagoons, regarded as the world’s top amenity that continuously develops crystalline lagoon projects across the globe and expands its business especially in Asia,  a multinational water innovation company, is a valuable resource that can greatly contribute to the ‘Amazing Thailand Tourism Year 2018’ marketing campaign.

With its focus on sports tourism among many other things, the campaign has opened up many opportunities for business owners. Crystal Lagoons is without doubt a great option for developers to invest in, to enhance projects at a very low construction and maintenance cost. In the recent years, Thais’ habits have gradually changed and they have started to care about their health and being physically active more than they have in the past. Thais have turned to sports, especially running, bicycling, and swimming. The triathlon has become more popular amongst this crowd.

Nowadays, the triathlon is becoming increasingly popular and many event organizers want to set up triathlon races in Thailand. However, it is quite difficult to find a perfect venue for athletes to train or compete in, especially in Bangkok. Crystal Lagoons sustainable technology provides any destination with a safe environment for swimming, reducing the risks of encountering dangerous creatures in the water or unexpected waves. On being able to construct a body of water as big as the developer desires, a crystalline lagoon can reduce an athlete’s frustration of having to swim in a crowded area. It complements triathlon training facilities perfectly as the turquoise water is clean with drinkable quality standards since it uses a small amount of chemicals and energy. This sustainable technology uses 100 times less chemicals than conventional swimming pools, therefore, athletes do not have to worry about accidentally drinking the water.

“Thailand has held many international triathlon races, including in Phuket, Hua Hin, and Pattaya. I am also an athlete and personally, I think it is quite challenging to find the perfect training facility in the city of Bangkok. Though many facilities are using salt-water swimming pool systems instead of chlorine nowadays, both pool systems still contain a lot of chemicals. However, with Crystal Lagoons technology, athletes do not have to worry about that. Being perfect for sports training, Crystal Lagoons clean and safe innovative technology will make athletes’ dreams come true with many benefits that come with it, namely a large body of water that allows people to swim freely, high quality water with minimal amount of chemicals, and perfect tropical beach environment in the heart of the city. Also, athletes will be able to enjoy swimming longer laps” said Mr. Jaime Rivera, Crystal Lagoons’ Regional Director for Southeast Asia.

Not only does Crystal Lagoons technology create beautiful venues and add value by attracting visitors to destinations, but it also provides benefits for society, families and athletes by improving their quality of life. This innovation allows athletes to seriously practice for the race while enjoying the beautiful scenery and appreciate the tropical beach environment right in the middle of a busy city. With the crystalline lagoon, it also allows visitors to have exciting aqua entertainment, including underwater spinning workouts, or aquabike classes.

In 2017, 28.8 million international visitors visited Thailand from January to October, according to the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). This has increased by 6.69 percent over the same period of the previous year. The country has generated 1.47 trillion baht revenue from tourism, an increase of 9.31 percent over the same period of the previous year.  As for the upcoming year of 2018, the Tourism Authority of Thailand forecasts that the country will make 3.1 trillion baht in revenue from tourism.  Due to the increasing tourism demand for traveling to Thailand, TAT has launched an ‘Amazing Thailand Tourism Year 2018’ marketing campaign this upcoming year to further strengthen the Thai tourism industry.

Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size crystal clear lagoons at very low costs.
