Crystal Lagoons Project In South Africa Continues To Captivate Local Media

Crystal Lagoons® has continually captivated both the media and locals alike with its paradisiacal turquoise lagoons. South Africa is no exception. Known as The Blyde, the residential real estate project, which opened in September 2018, was developed together with Balwin Properties Limited, and has since captivated the attention of local media. One of the main talking points that South African media has highlighted is the idyllic beach life that the development offers its residents, despite being hours from the coast.

One publication by the well-known South African blog, Hadithi, emphasizes the dimensions and sustainable technology that Crystal Lagoons has patented. “The lagoon is bigger than two rugby fields together”, it states.

Steve Brookes, CEO of Balwin Properties Limited, has stated: “Having The Blyde developed around a lagoon offers so much more to people who are looking for somewhere safe and a place where their children can be children – it has massive appeal to a wide range of people because there is nowhere else in Pretoria that is close to a large body of water which they can enjoy.”

Located in Pretoria East, Gauteng, the project attracts buyers thanks to its paradise-like lagoons. Additionally, The Blyde is a unique development in South Africa, as it incorporates a 4-acre crystalline lagoon in which residents can try out numerous watersports. This along with idyllic beaches and a pristine lagoon, in a city with a Mediterranean climate such as Pretoria, is an attraction that many local media outlets have highlighted, since it also saves its residents hours of travel to the coast.

Developed together with Balwin Properties, one of the largest real estate firms in South Africa, The Blyde is just one of a list of other projects Crystal Lagoons has on the African continent, namely Egypt, Senegal and Kenya. Worldwide, the multinational has 600 projects in different stages of negotiation, planning and development in 60 countries.

Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size clear water lagoons at very low costs.
