First Man-Made Lagoon Powered By Crystal Lagoon in Africa Has Defined Date
Crystal Lagoons® continues expanding its international presence, and its innovative technology sets landmarks on each continent.
In Africa, September 8th of 2018 indicates the launch date of the first man-made lagoon in the region powered by Crystal Lagoons. It’s The Blyde, a brand new US$ 8.6 million real estate development in Pretoria that will feature a clear water lagoon powered by Crystal Lagoons® as its centrepiece. In addition, the project will also anchor a clubhouse, 6,900 residential units and other amenities.
The project is product of the association between Crystal Lagoons and Baldwin Development. Alastair Sinclair, regional director for Africa at Crystal Lagoons, said: “This clear water lagoon is 1.5ha large, which is equivalent to just over two rugby fields. It becomes a key selling point for Baldwin. We believe customers will be attracted by the only clear water lagoon in Pretoria.”
Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size crystalline lagoons at very low costs.
