After revolutionizing the global real estate industry, Crystal Lagoons® amenities are now transforming the hotel and urban entertainment sectors. Renowned international brands such as Marriott, Radisson, Conrad, Accor, AVA Resort, and Sports Illustrated, among others, have identified the transformative value of this amenity, which brings a slice of the tropical ocean to thousands of tourists.
Crystalline lagoons have become the main attraction at different tourist destinations due to their entertainment value and scenic beauty. They offer hotel guests a unique accommodation experience and idyllic private beach life, with safe bodies of water suitable for swimming and water sports, connected to retail stores, restaurants, and recreational and entertainment activities.
This trend is present in the United States, Romania, Hungary, Indonesia, Mexico, and Uruguay, among other countries. In North America, the standout is Orlando, which is just steps from Disney World and Universal. The PAL® lagoon in Evermore Orlando Resort mega-project features a luxury Conrad hotel, bringing the beach to a city full of entertainment but lacking a beach. In Texas, the sports brand Sports Illustrated is developing an iconic tourist project with a 200-room hotel connected to a 48-hectare/12-acre Crystal Lagoons® amenity.
In Europe, Crystal Lagoons has attracted several hotel chains, including a Radisson Lagoon Hotel in Bucharest, Romania, and a luxury Accor hotel in Budapest, Hungary. In Southeast Asia, Marriott incorporated a five-star luxury glamping site into the Treasure Bay Bintan resort in Indonesia, which features a 6.3-hectare/15.5-acre lagoon, the largest in the region.
In Latin America, Crystal Lagoons has hotel projects in Mexico, including Cabo San Lucas and Cancun, where the AVA Resort hotel recently opened, and in Uruguay, where the multinational is present in the Solanas resort in Punta del Este.
“Every hotel project incorporating a Crystal Lagoons amenity becomes the most attractive destination in the area. These bodies of water change the paradigm of vacation developments with world-class hotel and resort standards”, explains Iván Manzur, Senior Vice President of Sales at Crystal Lagoons US Corp / Jean Pierre Juanchich, Global Business Director of Crystal Lagoons.
