The two-hectare lagoon powered by Crystal Lagoons® technology in the residential community of Brightwater, in Fort Meyers, Florida, will be completed by the end of this year 2021. The project is developed in partnership with Metro Development Group.
This company was the first to include the Crystal Lagoons® amenity in the United States in real estate projects such as Epperson, SouthShore Bay, Mirada and Brightwater in addition to 5 other complex in different stages of development.
These residential developments are well-known by having special and differentiating elements: ultrafi (the fastest internet), golf courses, exotic landscaping, meditation spaces, covered playgrounds, multiple trails, dog parks, fields for various sports, areas for picnics, solar public lights, smart homes, Club House, barbecue and campfire areas, large green areas, gyms, and BlockEnergy (solar energy for homes).
The most characteristic and important of these amenities, however, and the first on the list, is the water amenity by Crystal Lagoons®, where you can practice all kinds of water sports, swimming and of course, rest on a white sand beach that will take you directly to the Caribbean.
Innovation in real estate business
Metro Development CEO John Ryan had the first idea to innovate the traditional concept of services when he read an article about the multinational Crystal Lagoons® and its lagoon projects in resorts around the world.
“You’re always looking for what will set you apart and get someone to buy into the residential community you build rather than the one across the street,” says Ryan.
Ryan was on a plane and read about Crystal Lagoons® in the Wall Street Journal and got curious about what they did. Consequently, he began to investigate until he discovered that they were building these bodies of water of unlimited size in Latin America, Dubai and Mexico.
Hotels are well known for their amenities, as guests choose them for the landscape, spas or the pool. Conversations began with Crystal Lagoons® and the decision to incorporate them into the project. “The lagoons simply offer a different concept, something that differentiates us from other developers; it is a ‘game changer‘”.
