Crystal Lagoons’ success story continues to make waves worldwide. This time, the PiscinaSpain 2024 fair showcased the multinational water innovation company’s meteoric rise.
Jean Pierre Juanchich, Global Business Director of Crystal Lagoons, represented the company by sharing the story of these large crystalline lagoons that are now a global triumph, especially through the Public Access Lagoons® model, also known as PAL® projects.
Among the reasons the organization selected Crystal Lagoons as a key speaker are the disruptive nature of its innovation, which is unique worldwide, and the exponential growth of the multinational, which today totals more than 1,000 projects in different stages of development and negotiation in more than 60 countries.
Likewise, the impact of PAL® developments is changing the lives of millions of people living in urban settings by bringing beach life, swimming, water sports, and entertainment to their doorstep. Much like town parks did 200 years ago, this attracted citizens who, until then, had to travel to the outskirts to connect with nature.
These projects, accessible to all through ticketed entry, also offer spaces for events with incomparable scenic beauty, thanks to its monumental crystalline lagoon, surrounded by white sandy beaches that at night light up, creating a magical atmosphere, and extensive infrastructure with terraces, amphitheaters, domes, esplanades, commercial and entertainment spaces.
But they do not only contribute to the urban sphere. From a sustainable standpoint, developing these complexes worldwide would reduce the equivalent of 40% of the carbon footprint in the tourism and transportation sector, amounting to 14 million tons of CO2. This is because bringing beach life with turquoise waters and white sands to any city would decrease transportation to coastal destinations and natural beaches by approximately 50%.
PiscinaSpain gathered more than 7,000 industry professionals, including architects, builders, hoteliers, and municipal entities, from October 8 to 10, 2024, in Malaga. It will become the epicenter of innovation for exploring the latest trends and technologies in the aquatic field.
