Once again, the Public Access Lagoons® model, also known as PAL® projects, of Crystal Lagoons will be a highlight at one of the most important events in the Latin American entertainment industry as it takes center stage at IAAPA Water Park Week.
The event, organized by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), the world’s leading amusement park organization, will take place from October 1st to 3rd, and Crystal Lagoons has been invited to present on the revolution that PAL® developments are creating worldwide.
The PAL® developments, accessible to all through ticketed entry, have the attraction of bringing idyllic beach life steps away from homes in the middle of the city, along with offering spaces for events with incomparable scenic beauty, thanks to its huge crystalline lagoon, surrounded by white sandy beaches that at night light up, creating a magical atmosphere, and extensive infrastructure with terraces, amphitheaters, domes, esplanades, commercial and entertainment spaces.
IAAPA Water Park Week is an educational and networking event that brings together owners, directors, and managers of water parks in the Latin American region to explore new perspectives on growing their businesses. One of this year’s trends is the incorporation of water parks and lagoons into hotels, resorts, and even residential spaces.
In line with the entertainment industry’s environmental concerns, PAL® projects are eco-friendly. An average one-hectare lagoon consumes 40% less water than a park or green area of the same size, 33 times less water than an 18-hole golf course, and can use any type of water. Crystal Lagoons® amenities consume only 2% of the energy required by conventional pool filtration systems and use up to 100 times less chemicals than a traditional swimming pool.
Moreover, PAL® projects have been recognized for their environmental contribution, as they would reduce the equivalent of 40% of the carbon footprint in the tourism and transportation sectors by bringing beach life with turquoise waters and white sands to locations close to home, thus avoiding long car or plane trips.
