The Public Access Lagoons™ projects, also known as PAL™, have become the entertainment hub of cities. They not only offer an idyllic beach lifestyle but also host a myriad of activities and events. Blue Tree Phuket, the first development under the PAL™ model in Asia, was the venue for one of the Spartan Race events, one of the world’s most demanding obstacle races.
More than 4,000 athletes worldwide gathered to compete in different circuits throughout the project, always with the 1.7-hectare crystalline lagoon as the centerpiece. Spartan Race is a competition that takes place in more than 30 countries, including Canada, the United States, South Korea, Australia, Spain, France, Switzerland, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Chile, among others.
However, Blue Tree Phuket is constantly the venue for several events. The most recent one was the third edition of the Aquathlon Blue Tree. This traditional competition, held annually and set against the backdrop of the lagoon powered by Crystal Lagoons® technology, brings together families, children, youth, and adults participating in swimming and multi-sport races throughout the day.
Entertainment in this project is not only related to sports. The complex also hosts ballet performances, concerts by renowned groups and singers, beach electronic parties, wine nights, and dance classes, among many others. Additionally, there are multiple activities such as paddle tournaments, CrossFit, cricket, and more.
In addition to the white sandy beaches surrounding the turquoise lagoon, there is a private peninsula, restaurants, a bar, and the possibility of activities such as Slip N Fly, water slides, Cliff Jumping & Rock Climbing, splash zones, a water playground for both adults and children, among other options.
Blue Tree Phuket has become a perfect destination for those who want to enjoy beach life with diverse activities away from the crowds that frequent tourist spots. In fact, it is positioned as the main family attraction in the iconic tourist destination of Phuket and receives more than 38 million visits annually, always with the crystalline lagoon as the protagonist.
